Fallout 4 Mods 1.8 Update for PS4 Released this Weekend? Patch Notes Here!

The Fallout 4 mods are coming to PlayStation 4 after all. Many PS players have been wondering whether the 1.8 update will be made available for them or not. Nevertheless, a recent social media announcement from Bethesda itself confirmed that there will definitely be an update. In fact, it is reportedly coming out this week. Read on for more details!

Ars Technica recently reported that the Fallout 4 mods are finally coming out, which means Bethesda's "long-running feud" with Sony is over. Apparently, the game developing company has expressed through their official blog that Sony has disapproved the release of the mods for the role-playing video game in September.

The media outlet quotes a statement from Bethesda, saying: "Sony has informed us they will not approve user mods the way they should work: where users can do anything they want for either Fallout 4 or Skyrim Special Edition. Like you, we are disappointed by Sony's decision given the considerable time and effort we have put into this project, and the amount of time our fans have waited for mod support to arrive."

Nevertheless, it seems like Sony has finally decided to retract their previous ruling and approve the release of the Fallout 4 mods. In retrospect, the mods for Xbox players launched in March, while PC gamers received the update in April. Therefore, only PS4 players were unfortunate enough until recently.
