Wednesday Hodge Podge

Joining Joyce again this week for her Hodge Podge. If you want to join in or check out other responses just click here.

1. Ever played the game Farkle? Are you a risk taker? In games only or also in life?
I've never played Farkle and I am not a risk taker in anything. I'm pretty boring.

2. What's your favorite thing about your yard or whatever outdoor space you may have?
I love that we have a nice, big back yard and that it is very family friendly. We have two sandboxes, a big swingset with three swings, a slide, monkey bars and loft. For the grownups we have a gazebo with a table and chairs. For every one we have a pool.

3. Tell us about the most interesting building you've seen or been in.
I really can't think of anything that jumps out at me. I am drawn to lighthouses though.

4. In this current season of social distancing, what's something you've come to realize you take for granted in more ordinary times? Do you think you'll make a conscious effort to appreciate whatever that 'it' is once normal life resumes?
Being able to get in the car and just go whether it be to the grocery store, the walking trails, visit my chiropractor (it's going to take him months to get me back into shape when this is all over!), shop for the grands, go out to eat or have ice cream, visit family. I don't think it will take a conscious effort to be appreciative for the things we're missing once we return to them... we just will appreciate being able to do the things we've missed doing. I do think it's going to be a long time before we get back to normal though and by then normal could be a whole lot different.

5. Share a favorite song with a springtime flower in the lyrics somewhere.
The Rose by Bette Midler... love that song.

6. Insert your own random thought here.
I'm tired of this crazy spring weather. Snowstorms in May? No, thank you.  Freezing temperatures every morning? I'm over it. Rain five days out of five? Seriously, who needs that?  On the other hand we don't live where there are hurricanes and tornadoes and floods... so I'll just be grateful for that.

Thanks for dropping by....
