LEWIS HAMILTON SIGNS 27 MILLION POUNDS NEW CONTRACT WITH MERCEDES

Lewis Hamilton, 30, has signed a new 3 year contract with Mercedes worth up to 27 million pounds a year.
Lewis who won his second world title last year joined Mercedes in 2013 having been with Mclaren for six years.
Lewis is excited to be staying with Mercedes for another three years. The contract takes him to 2018.
Hamilton currently leads team mate Nico Rosberg in the current championship by 20 points.
Hamilton is expected to earn basic salary paid in US dollars of $31 million (20.9 million pounds) and then extensive bonuses depending on whether he wins races or becomes world champion. The bonuses could take his annual earnings to over $40 million or 27 million pounds.
Meanwhile the Monaco Grand Prix starts tommorrow, Thursday May 21 with the first practice at 8.55BST.
