Where do we start with the enviable Queen, née Dana Owens, whose piercing almond eyes, chestnut skin, and bright smile has been in mainstay in popular culture for decades? With beautiful golden highlights that accompany her mane, Latifah always sports dewy skin, frame-shaping eyebrows, a smokey eye and a nude toned lip.
Whether on the red carpet, on TV, or fronting magazine covers, she sticks to a neutral makeup look, which reflects her not too little, not too much persona.
Her glamorous, yet relatable look has led to campaigns with beauty powerhouse Covergirl, where she is the ambassador and brains behind their aptly named Queen Collection, pegged for women of color.
The true beauty of the Queen is her versatility. She exudes confidence whether wearing makeup or sporting a full contoured look.
Over the years, Queen L has cultivated a style and beauty aesthetic all her own, neither too flashy nor too trendy when it comes to clothes and makeup. At the end of the day, she likes a relaxed look that is clean and polished, and she’s definitely made it all her own.
